Star Trek: Generations

Stardate: 23rd century. James T. Kirk, now retired, accompanies the maiden voyage of the new Enterprise B as guest of honor. Events come to a head when the starship is caught in a mysterious energy field, the nexus. In a daring attempt to save the ship, Kirk is hurled into space. 78 years later: Captain Picard and the crew of the Enterprise D rescue the scientist Soran from the same energy field that was the Enterprise B's undoing. But Soran has sinister goals; he is planning to destroy an entire solar system. Picard's last hope is the Nexus...and a legendary captain...
