A strange doorway appears in the basement of a furniture showroom... After a therapist's patient goes missing into a dimension beyond reality, she has to enter the unknown to save him.

"The Backrooms" is an internet myth from the realm of creepypasta. It involves a seemingly endless sequence of labyrinthine office rooms with yellow walls and constantly buzzing neon lights.

The lead role will be played by Renate Reinsve, known for "The Worst Person in the World" and most recently "Sentimental Value". She will be joined by Chiwetel Ejiofor, known for "12 Years a Slave". The project comes from the hit studio A24. It is directed by 20-year-old Kane Parsons, who himself sparked the hype surrounding the topic in 2022 with his viral "Backrooms" videos.
