The remake of "The Mummy" will have nothing to do with the Brandon Fraser series and the Tom Cruise film. Instead, the focus will be on a new cast and new characters. Previous statements by director Lee Cronin suggest that the reinterpretation will focus more on the horror elements of the story. This time, the focus will be on a young family - a couple and their daughter.
