Emmy Awards 2026: David Harbour & Co. – Here are the Creative Arts winners

The first winners of the 2026 Emmys have been announced. Ahead of next week's 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, where the main categories will be awarded, the Creative Arts Emmys have already taken place. Of particular interest to TV series fans: Among other awards, the Emmys were presented for Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series and Comedy Series, as well as for Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries. Among the winners is David Harbour, best known as a "Stranger Things" star, but who has now been honored for a completely different series: "DTF St. Louis."

Harbour was named Best Supporting Actor for his role in the HBO miniseries. "DTF St. Louis" centers on romantic entanglements among three people going through a midlife crisis – and the resulting investigation into a death. Harbour was already considered a favorite in the category going into the ceremony. And he isn't the only actor to be honored for the series. His co-star Linda Cardellini also received an Emmy: for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries. The series itself was one of the big winners of the evening: According to The Hollywood Reporter, "DTF St. Louis" took home a total of six Emmys.

The Pitt has already snagged its first Emmys

In the Drama Series category, Shailene Woodley took home an Emmy. She was honored as Best Guest Actress for her performance in the second season of "Paradise." The series initially revolves around the assassination of the U.S. president, but it soon becomes clear that solving the case is merely the beginning of a much more far-reaching story.

The Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series went to Ernest Harden Jr. in "The Pitt." The hospital drama has two seasons to its credit so far and is among the top favorites for the top prizes at next week's 78th Primetime Emmy Awards. Last evening the acclaimed series has already taken home four Emmys.

Rob Reiner was posthumously honored with an Emmy

A special honor went to Rob Reiner. The famous director of various film classics such as "When Harry Met Sally...," "Misery," and "A Few Good Men" passed away last December at the age of 78. At the Creative Arts Emmys, he was posthumously honored as Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series: Reiner had a guest role in the series "The Bear," which centers on the staff of a Chicago restaurant and concluded this year with its fifth and final season.

Betty Gilpin was honored as Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance in "Widow's Bay." The series is set in a fictional island town plagued by a centuries-old curse. "Widow's Bay" debuted this year on Apple TV and has been the talk of the town ever since: At next week's 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, the series is among the favorites in the comedy category alongside "Hacks." At the Creative Arts Emmys, "Widow's Bay" led the pack with a total of eight awards.
